Frequently asked questions
How do I apply for a job at Baloise?

By clicking on the "Apply now" button beneath the job advert which interests you.

Can I apply if I haven't found a suitable job?

You can register your details and your CV in our Talent Pool. On request, the system will automatically send you an email as soon as a job is advertised which fits your profile. To enable this, please activate the “Automatic notification of vacancies” check box under “Job preferences”.

Can I apply by post, email or social media?

Unfortunately not. Please apply online by clicking on the “Apply now” button in the job advertisement.

Why not?

  • Firstly, every month we receive hundreds of applications, which is why we have to use an applications database. The risk of delays to the processing of applications made via different channels, or that the application will be lost, is too great.
  • As we record personal data for each application, for data protection reasons we are obliged to use to a system that offers us a high level of security for our candidates’ data.
I have forgotten my user name and/or password!

No problem. Click on the “Forgotten password?” or “Forgotten user name?” button in the user login area. We will then send you an email with your new login details.

If you continue experiencing problems, contact us. We will help you.

How can I withdraw my application?

If you wish to withdraw your application, first log in to the Baloise Talent Pool.

Then click “My job page” followed by “My applications”. All the jobs for which you have applied are listed there. To terminate your application, click on the “Withdraw” button.

How can I access my data in order to update or delete it?

You can access your data at any time. Open your profile in the Baloise Talent Pool to display or update your details.

Deleting data

To delete all the data in the system, open “My account options” (top right) and click on “Deactivate”. We will process your request within a week. Important: You will not receive any information about the actual process, as your data, including all contact details, will be completely deleted.

Please note that other data retention policies may apply in the case of a recently submitted application due to legal requirements. In such a case, the deletion of your data may take up to four months to complete, from the date of the most recent update.

You can cancel individual applications by clicking “Withdraw”.

Where is my data stored?

Your data is stored in a data centre operated by our partner “Oracle” within the European Union (EU). Personal data is collected, processed and used in accordance with the requirements of the European Data Protection Directive, and is not disclosed to third parties.

What should be included in a complete application?

Your application creates our first impression of you. The more convincing and complete it is, the better the impression we will have of you. Normally, a complete application will include:

  • your CV (maximum 2 pages)
  • a motivation letter
  • your employment reference letters
  • your main education certificates

For some jobs, we do not require a motivation letter and ask you to answer a few questions instead. The exact requirements are always given at the end of the job advertisement.

Still not sure what constitutes a good application?

How do I attach documents to my application?

Simply add your documents in the “Cover letter and attachments” section while completing the application. If you would like to add more documents later on, you can log in to the Talent Pool and supplement your application.

File size

You can add five attachments of a maximum size of 2 MB. We know: that isn't much, unfortunately. If you find you have reached the limit of what the system can handle, the following tips will help:
